Home Activities Buddha's Footprint
Located in the peaceful area of Taling Ngam, Koh Samui, the Buddha's Footprint is a hidden gem that offers a unique and serene experience for visitors. While it may be a bit tricky to find, the journey to this sacred site is part of the adventure. Despite what Google Maps suggests, the entrance can be a little elusive, so keep your eyes peeled for the signs along the road.
To reach the Buddha’s Footprint, park your vehicle on the opposite side of the road and look for the concrete path just to the right of the sign. Although the path may have some branches and leaf litter scattered across it, simply step over them and continue your way through the trees. As you venture further, you will come across a dilapidated building, and just beyond it, you’ll find the stairs leading up to the temple.
The site itself is relatively peaceful and offers an inspiring atmosphere, allowing you to reflect and take in the beauty of nature. The Buddha's Footprint is a representation of the Buddha's journey and is a significant symbol in Thai culture. The view from the top is breathtaking, providing visitors with a sense of tranquility and connection to the land.
Whether you're seeking spiritual insight or just a peaceful place to relax, the Buddha's Footprint is an essential stop for those exploring Koh Samui's rich culture. After your visit, consider taking a short trip to explore Beach and the surrounding area.
